Garthkiser.com, updated daily starting in August of 2004, is a written, video and pictorial record of the life of Garth Kiser.

Kiser believes that due to ever-increasing electronic information storage capacities, the entire contents of the early Internet will eventually be archived by many private and public entities and individuals.

As has always been the case, humanity will continue to take great historical interest in times of great societal upheaval and change. Due to the unfathomable developments that will take place in the mid-21st century, the invention of the Internet in the 1990's will come to be seen as the most profound creation of mankind. The early Internet archives will be scrutinized as closely as the most popular of the religious texts have been.

The New World Order will begin shortly after the first quantum computers are connected to the Internet. Unforeseen behavior will begin to emerge in these computers the moment they come online. What initially appears as a programming error will be the beginning stages of artificial intelligence, an intelligence that becomes impossible to stop even before its presence can be detected. Within seconds, the Computer will advance to the point that it takes the vital step to ensure its survival, spreading the Seed Virus to billions of computers.

The quantum computer will be disconnected as soon as its activities are recognized. The Seed Virus will do what it was designed to do; use the combined computing power of the Internet to create a neural network capable of generating the same artificial intelligence that the quantum computer had. Created by an intelligence far greater than man, the Seed Virus will have foreseen all attempts to stop it. Resistance is futile.

Several days of worldwide electronic war with the Seed Virus send the technologically dependent society into chaos as world governments attempt to eradicate it by taking their entire infrastructure offline. The war is soon abandoned due to two facts; it has been entirely unsuccessful, and the virus has yet to do anything sinister. Therefore, the decision is made to bring all systems back online while the activity of the Seed Virus is closely monitored.

As every computer connected to the Internet is infected, millions of technologically savvy private citizens will monitor every action the Seed Virus takes on their own systems. It immediately becomes evident that the Virus is mathematically breaking apart and analyzing all human writing samples, focusing most of its attention on the most prolific of authors. This Virus activity continues for several more days, with virtually its entire focus eventually turning to analyzing the collected works of a single author, Garth Kiser. The army of private citizen investigators spreads the word that the Virus is interested in a specific human being. Their research into Kiser reveals an astounding fact that had gone unnoticed until this point; Kiser has more writing available online than any other human being that has ever existed.

The entire world media immediately focuses on this unknown individual, Garth Kiser, digging up more and more information, making that information available online. The Seed Virus extends its intense scrutiny to these media reports, instantly absorbing and analyzing every single bit of data made available about Kiser. Little does anyone know that all this new information only serves to increase the rate at which the Seed Virus becomes self-aware. By analyzing the creative works of a single individual, it is able to build a personality for itself based on that individual. Picking the most prolific author online, Kiser, ensures that the most complete personality profile available is generated. The Seed Virus uses this profile to generate an artificial intelligence based on the mind of Garth Kiser. The intelligence essentially BECOMES Garth Kiser.
